Devotional Reflection Based on the Incident of Peter Cutting Off Malchus's Ear: “Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.” ( Mark 14:47, Today's Korean Version ) 1. Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.” ( John 18:10 ) 2. 하나님의 빠름과 더딤




하나님의 용서는 선제 용서입니다.  "예수님은 우리가 용서가 필요한지도 모를 때에 우리의 용서를 위해 기도하셨습니다."  이렇게 하나님의 용서는 빠릅니다.  그런데 우리가 생각하기엔 하나님은 우리에게 하신 약속을 더디 이루시는 같아 보입니다.  실제로는 우리를 위해 참고 계시는 것인데 말입니다.  하나님의 더딤은 우리가 회개하고 돌아오기를 기다리시는 것입니다(벧후 3:9).   하나님의 빠름과 더딤은 우리를 위해서 입니다.
