A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. Let me clearly summarize five essential principles of true mission as presented in Scripture. 🌍 1. The Mission of God (Missio Dei) The subject and initiator of mission is not human beings but God. “ 주의 귀를 나의 부르짖음에 기울이소서 ” [ 시편 88 편 말씀 묵상 ] 이번 주 월요일 (2 월 25 일 ) 고 정상우 목사님의 사모님이신 정명선 사모님이 누워계셨던 Glendale Adventist 병원에 갔었습니다 . 맏 아드님과 맏 며느리가 있길래 잠깐 사모님을 위해서 함께 기도할 수 있냐고 물은 후 사모님의 이마에 제 손을 얹고 함께 기도하였습니다 . 기도하면서 하나님의 긍휼과 은혜를 구했습니다 . 자녀들의 마음을 잘 해 아리지는 못하겠지만 하나님께서 잠시라도 사모님의 의식을 되찾아 주셔서 자녀들과 대화할 수 있는 은총을 간구하였습니다 . 흐느끼는 아드님의 소리를 들으면서 그저 하나님께서 우리의 기도를 응답해 주시길 간구하였습니다 . 그런 후 병원에서 나와 박춘희 권사님이 계시는 Park’s View 양로원으로 향했습니다 . 그 날 25 일이 제가 알기론 박권사님의 90 세 생신이시기 때문입니다 . 찾아 뵈었을 때 눈을 뜨시고 조용히 누워계시는 권사님을 바라보면서 인사하고 저 혼자 잠깐 이런 저런 말 한 후 권사님의 생신을 축하하는 마음으로 “ 생신 축하합니다” 노래를 불러 드렸습니다 . 그런 후 하나님께 기도를 드린 후 찬송가 495 장 “ 내 영혼이 은총입어”를 찬양하였습니다 . 왠지 그 찬송을 부르면 권사님께서 눈을 서서히 감으시고 잠이 드시곤 하십니다 . 그래서 잠드시는 모습 보고 그 자리를 떠났습니다 . 나중에 저녁에 집에 있는데 형수님이 전화...
