We are taught that we must become upright people who, in God’s sight, are blameless and fully keep His commandments. “In the time of Herod king of Judea there was a priest named Zechariah, who belonged to the priestly division of Abijah; his wife Elizabeth was also a descendant of Aaron. Both of them were righteous in the sight of God, observing all the Lord’s commands and decrees blamelessly” [(Modern Translation: “When Herod was king of Judea, there was a priest named Zechariah of the division of Abijah, and his wife Elizabeth also came from the family of Aaron. They were righteous before God and faithfully kept all the Lord’s commandments and regulations without fault”)] (Luke 1:5–6). 말씀의 거울에 비취진 나의 모습? 거울이 뿌옇으면 내 모습이 잘 보이지 않는 것처럼 영적 거울인 하나님의 말씀을 잘 모르면 내 죄를 알지 못합니다 ( 롬 7:7). 저는 부지런히 하나님의 말씀을 묵상하고 싶습니다 . 그리고 저는 그 말씀의 거울에 제 자신을 부지런히 비춰보면서 제 자신을 살펴보고 싶습니다 ( 약 1:22-25). 그러므로 저는 성령님께서 깨닫게 하시는 저의 죄를 하나님께 인정하고 고백하며 하나님께서 주시는 은혜로 저의 죄를 회개하므로 하나님의 말씀에 순종하며 살고 싶습니다 . 제 간절한 소원은 제가 죽기 전에 그 말씀의 거울에 비춰진 저의 모습이 조금이나마 예수님을 닮는 것입니다 .
