Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. 선한 일을 열심히 하는 주님의 백성은 ... 선한 일을 열심히 하는 주님의 백성은  깨끗한 마음과 양심을 가지고 있어야 합니다 .   우리는 하나님을 입술로만 시인하는 것이 아니라  행위로도 시인하는 삶을 살아야 합니다 . 주님께서 우리의 마음과 양심을  더욱더 깨끗하게 하여 주시길 기원합니다 ( 디도서 1:15-16; 2:14).

언행의 불일치

언행의 불일치 내 입술로는  하나님은 사랑이시라고 시인하면서  내 행위로는  내 식구조차도 사랑하지 않고 미워하고 있다면  내 마음과 양심이 더러운 것이 아닌가 ( 딛 1:15, 16; 요일 4:8, 16, 20).
