We are taught that we must become upright people who, in God’s sight, are blameless and fully keep His commandments. “In the time of Herod king of Judea there was a priest named Zechariah, who belonged to the priestly division of Abijah; his wife Elizabeth was also a descendant of Aaron. Both of them were righteous in the sight of God, observing all the Lord’s commands and decrees blamelessly” [(Modern Translation: “When Herod was king of Judea, there was a priest named Zechariah of the division of Abijah, and his wife Elizabeth also came from the family of Aaron. They were righteous before God and faithfully kept all the Lord’s commandments and regulations without fault”)] (Luke 1:5–6). While meditating on this passage, I would like to draw out the lessons given to us: (1) The author of Luke’s Gospel, Luke, first wrote to Theophilus about John the Baptist’s parents. 도움이 절실히 필요한 상황은 좋은 기회입니다. 도움이 절실히 필요한 상황에 처해 있다는 것은 우리에게는 하나님의 말씀을 받을 수 있는 좋은 기회입니다 . 또한 그 받은 말씀에 힘을 얻어 상황에 이끌리기 보다 하나님의 말씀에 견고히 서서 그 말씀에 이끌림을 받을 수 있는 좋은 기회입니다 . 그러므로 도움이 절실히 필요한 상황이란 우리가 하나님의 구원 ( 건지심 ) 을 사모하면서 하나님의 말씀을 즐거워할 수 있는 좋은 기회입니다 ( 시편 119:174).
