서원(서약)과 순종 우리는 경솔히 하나님께 서원 ( 서약 ) 해서는 아니됩니다 ! 만이 우리가 하나님께 서원 ( 서약 ) 하였으면 파약하지 말고 그 입에서 나온대로 다 행해야 합니다 ( 민 30:2). 설상 그 서원 ( 서약 ) 을 우리가 경솔히 했다 할지라도 우리는 그것을 지켜 행해야 합니다 (6-8 절 ). 그러나 만일 싱글 때 자매가 ( 경솔히 ) 하나님께 서원 ( 서약 ) 을 하였다가 결혼 한 후에 그녀의 남편이 그 서원 ( 서약 ) 한 것을 듣고 허락지 아니하면 그녀의 입술에서 발한 서약이 무효가 됩니다 (8 절 ). 여러분은 , 하나님께 서원 ( 서약 ) 한 것이 무효가 될 수 있다는 생각을 해 보셨습니까 ? 그 정도로 자매가 결혼한 후에는 그녀의 남편에게 순종해야 한다는 말입니다 . 그렇지 않고 그 자매가 ' 내가 처녀 때 하나님께 서원 ( 서약 ) 한 것이고 나는 하나님을 당신 ( 남편 ) 보다 더 사랑하니 나는 그 서원 ( 서약 ) 한 것을 꼭 지켜야 겠다 ' 고 말하다면 겉으로 보기에는 참 신앙이 좋은 자매 같이 보일지 모르지만 하나님 보시기에는 하나님의 계명 [" 교회가 그리스도께 하듯 아내들도 범사에 그 남편에게 복종할지니라 " ( 엡 5:24)] 을 어기는 불순종하는 사람일 뿐입니다 . 하나님을 진정하는 사랑하는 자매라면 그녀는 그녀의 남편이 허락지 아니하는 것 ( 서원 / 서약 지키는 것 ) 을 하려고 하지 않고 하나님의 계명에 순종하여 주님께 하듯 남편에게 복종할 것입니다 ( 요 14:21).
