A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. Let me clearly summarize five essential principles of true mission as presented in Scripture. 🌍 1. The Mission of God (Missio Dei) The subject and initiator of mission is not human beings but God. In order to save fallen humanity, God first comes to us, sends His Son, and sends the Holy Spirit. He is the “missionary God” who sends. 주님의 힘을 노래하십시다 . [ 시편 59 편 말씀 묵상 ] 오늘 저는 욥에 대하여 묵상하는 시간을 가졌습니다 . 익히 알고 있는 듯한 욥의 이야기를 다시 묵상하면서 저는 하나님의 주권 아래 사탄과 그의 세력이 욥을 칠 때에 과연 욥의 심정은 어떠했었 을까라는 생각도 들었습니 다 . 모든 물질도 잃어버리고 , 모든 자녀들도 죽고 또한 욥 자신의 생명은 사탄이 어찌할 수가 없었지만 극심한 육신의 고통을 겪었던 욥을 생각할 때에 상상을 할 수도 없지만 왠지 욥의 친구들을 생각할 때에 저는 좀 공감하는 부분이 있 었 습니다 . 그것은 욥의 친구들은 욥을 위로하려고 했지만 결국 욥의 말처럼 그들은 욥을 ‘번뇌케하는 안위자” ( Sorry comforters ) ( 욥 16:2) 였다는 말씀처럼 제 자신을 볼 때에 좋은 의도로 주위에 고통당하는 지체들을 위로하려고는 하지만 혹시나 ‘번뇌케하는 위로자’였을 때가 얼마나 많았을까 라는 생각입니다 . 또한 저는 욥 자신은 어떻했었겠는가 라는 생각도 들었습니다 . 욥의 친구들은 자기가 겪고 있는 것을 전혀 모르는 친구들 , 위로는 커녕 더욱더 욥에게 괴로움을 더한 친구들 이 였습 니다 . 이러한 괴로움 속에 있었던 욥은 자기 자신조차도 하나님의 주권 속에서 일어나고 있는 일을 다 깨달을 수가 없었습니다 . 그 또한 무지한 가운데서 여러모로 극심한 고통을 당하고 있었 던 것입 니다 . 과연 제가 만일 욥의 친구였다면 욥을 위해서 할 수 있는게 무었이었을까 생각해 봅니다 ....
