죄의 문제 (요17:15-17) 죄의 문제로 고민하지 않는 사람을 과연 성도라고 말할 수 있을까 질문을 던져봅니다 . 그 이유는 ‘ 성도 ’ 란 말이 죄악된 세상과 구별된 자를 의미하고 있기 때문입니다 . 성도로서의 책임은 죄악된 세상과 절교해야 하는 것입니다 . 다시 말하면 , 성도는 죄로부터 분리된 삶을 살아야 한다는 뜻입니다 . 물과 기름이 섞일 수 없듯이 빛의 자녀인 성도는 어두운 세상과 짝지어서 살면 안되는 것입니다 . 그렇게 살기 위해서 우리 성도들은 소속감이 분명해야 합니다 . 우리는 이 세상에 속하지 않았고 ( 요 17:16) 빛되시는 주님께 속한 자들임을 언제나 잊지 말아야 할 것입니다 . 또한 , 우리는 악에 빠지지 않기 위하여 예수님처럼 기도해야 하며 ( 요 17:15) 진리로 거룩하게 되기를 힘써야 합니다 ( 요 17:17). 이것을 게을리한다면 하나님의 징계를 두려워 해야 할 것입니다 . 하나님께서는 우리를 사랑하시기에 우리가 죄를 자복하지 않으면 징계하실 것입니다 .
