"내 행복은 구름처럼 사라져 버렸다." 형편없는 자들이 일어나 욥을 대적하고 욥을 넘어뜨리기 위해 욥의 앞에 함정을 파고 있었습니다 . 그들은 욥의 길을 막아 욥을 파멸시키려고 하였습니다 . 그들은 마치 뚫린 성벽으로 밀어닥치는 적군처럼 욥에게 무섭게 달려들고 있었습니다 . 그러므로 욥은 두려움에 압도당하였습니다 . 욥의 고백입니다 : “ 이제 내 위엄은 바람처럼 날아가 버렸고 내 행복은 구름처럼 사라져 버렸다 . 내 생명은 점점 시들어 가는데 나를 사로잡고 있는 것은 고통의 날들뿐이다 . 밤이 되면 내 뼈가 쑤시고 아프며 그 고통이 끊이지 않는다 ”( 욥기 30:12-17, 현대인의 성경 ). 대적자들로 인해 우리의 고통이 끊이지 않는 고통의 날들을 보낼 때 우리는 욥처럼 “ 내 행복은 구름처럼 사라져 버렸다 ” 고 말할 수 있습니다 . 이렇게 우리의 행복이 구름처럼 사라져 버렸다고 생각이 될 때 우리는 무엇을 어떻게 해야 하는 것일까요 ? 이 찬송가 가사가 생각났습니다 : “ 구주를 생각만 해도 이렇게 좋거든 주 얼굴 뵈올 때에야 얼마나 좋으랴 ”( 새 찬송가 85 장 “ 구주를 생각만 해도 ” 1 절 ).
