God’s love poured into our hearts (Romans 5:5-11)

God’s love poured into our hearts       [Romans 5:5-11]   We believers in Jesus have a sure hope, a hope that does not disappoint (Rom. 5:5).   That hope is the glory of God.   Since we have been justified by faith in Jesus Christ, we are now able to rejoice in the glory of God.   Now we no longer have to wear a body that is reproached, weak, or perishable (1 Cor. 15:43, 54).   On the day Jesus returns, we will suddenly be transformed (v. 51).   At that time, we will be like His glorious body (Phil. 3:21).   We will fully participate in the divine nature (2 Pet. 1:4).   We will fully participate in the character of Jesus, who is God.   This hope is a hope that we can have confidently and not be ashamed of (Rom. 5:5).   Why?   The reason is because this hope that God has given us in Jesus Christ is based on God's love.   In other words, because God loves us with great love, this sure hope given to us wh...

The mind set on the flesh (Romans 8:5-8)

The mind set on the flesh       [Romans 8:5-8]                        Look at Romans 8:5-8: “For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.   For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.”  In this verse, “the mind set on the flesh” appears three times: “For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh” (v. 5), “For the mind set on the flesh is death” (v. 6), and “the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God” (v. 7).   Here, what is “the mind set on the flesh”?    ...

Salvation of the Triune God (1) (Romans 8:1-4)

Salvation of the Triune God (1)       [Romans 8:1-4]                          I would like to meditate on the Word of God under the title “Salvation of the Triune God” focusing on Romans 8:1-4.  God the Father, Jesus the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are one God.    Romans 8:1 says “Christ Jesus” (God the Son), verse 2 “the Spirit” (God the Holy Spirit), and verse 3 “God” (God the Father).  Today, I would like to think about the salvation of the Son Jesus in the “Salvation of the Triune God (1)”                   Look at Romans 8:1 – “Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”   “Christ Jesus” is the Son of God [“His Son” (1:2, 3)].  Jesus, the only begotten Son of God the Father, became a man [“according to ...
