자기 부인 안하고 예수님을 부인하고 있다?  하나님의 일을 생각하지 않고  사람의 일을 생각하고 있었던 베드로는  예수님을 따르기 위해서는  자기를 부인하고 자기 십자가를 지고  예수님을 따랐어야 했는데 ( 막 8:33-34)  예수님이 잡히셨을 때  멀찍이 예수님을 따라  대제사장의 집 바깥 뜰에서  예수님을 세번이나 부인했습니다 ( 마 26:47-75).   자기를 부인하고 예수님을 따라야 할 제자가  예수님을 부인한 것입니다 .   지금 내가 그러고 있는 것은 아닌지 뒤돌아 봅니다 .
