Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.” ( John 18:10 ) 2. 고난을 통해서라도 배우길 원합니다. 우리는 " 이 고난의 잔을 내게서 거두어 주십시오 " 라고 간구하기보다 ( 마 26:39, 현대인의 성경 )  " 이 고난의 잔 " 을 통해  하나님의 아들이신 예수님처럼  " 순종함을 배워서 "( 히 5:8)  " 제 뜻대로 마시고  아버지의 뜻대로 하십시오 "( 마 26:39, 현대인의 성경 ) 라고 간구할 수 있어야 합니다 .   중요한 것은  고난이 없어지는게 아니라  고난을 통해 순종함을 배우는 것입니다 .
