죽은 믿음, 거짓된 믿음? 갈멜산에 모인 이스라엘 백성들은 하나님과 바알 둘 사이에서 더 이상 머뭇머뭇하지 말고 둘 중에 하나를 선택하라는 엘리야 선지자의 말에 침묵하였습니다 . 그들은 말 한 마디도 하지 않았습니다 . 그런데 흥미로운 것은 바알의 선지자들이 아침부터 낮까지 바알의 이름을 불렀지만 바알로부터 아무 소리도 없고 아무 응답도 없었다는 것입니다 ( 왕상 18:20-26). 이스라엘 백성들이나 바알이나 침묵하고 있었다는 것이 흥미롭습니다 . 저는 침묵하는 이스라엘 백성들이 침묵하는 바알을 닮았다고 생각합니다 . 죽은 거짓된 신 ( 우상 ) 을 닮은 죽은 믿음 , 거짓된 믿음을 가진 자들이라 생각됩니다 .
