Our God is faithful, and He will surely fulfill what He has promised us in His time and in His way! “As Elizabeth was barren and they had no child, and both were well advanced in years” (Luke 1:7). While meditating on this verse, I would like to share the lessons given to me: (1) When I read this passage, I am reminded of Sarai, Abraham’s wife, in Genesis: “Now Sarai was barren; she had no child” (Genesis 11:30). Sarai, who could not conceive and had no child, “by faith … received power to conceive, because she considered Him faithful who had promised” (Hebrews 11:11). (a) While meditating on the statement that she considered the One who promised to be faithful, I am reminded of one of my favorite verses, 2 Timothy 2:13: “If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself” [Modern Translation: “We may be unfaithful, but the Lord is always faithful and cannot break His promise”]. ...
사망 vs. 영생 한 사람 아담으로 말미암아 죄가 세상에 들어왔고 죄로 말미암아 사망이 들어왔습니다 ( 롬 5:12). 죄의 삯은 " 사망 " 입니다 (6:23). 여기서 " 사망 " 이란 (1) 하나님으로부터 분리가 된 ' 영적인 죽음 ', (2) 몸과 영혼이 분리가 될 ' 육체적인 죽음 ', (3) 하나님과 영원하고 완전하게 분리되어 영원한 사망에 처하게 되는 ' 영원한 죽음 ' 을 말합니다 . 그러나 한 사람 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 우리가 의롭다 하심을 받아 영원한 생명을 누리게 되었습니다( 18 절 , 현대인의 성경 ; 6:23). " 하나님께서 거저 주시는 선물은 우리 주 예수 그리스도 안에 있는 영원한 생명입니다 "(6:23). 여기서 " 영생 " 이란 (1) 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님과 연결되는 것, (2) 유일하신 참 하나님과 예수 그리스도를 아는 것 ( 요 17:3), (3) 주님의 재림 때 몸은 변화하던지 ( 그 때까지 살아있다면 ) 또는 부활하여 ( 죽었다면 ) 영혼과 연합되어 새하늘과 새 땅인 천국에 들어가하나님과 영원히 함께 사는 것을 말합니다 .
