죽임을 당하는 위협 속에 계셨던 예수님은 ... 헤롯은 아기 예수님을 죽이려고 동방에서 예루살렘에 찾아온 박사들에게 " 가서 아기에 대하여 자세히 알아보고 찾거든 내게도 알려주시오 ..." 라고 말했는데 , 대제사장들과 바리새인들은 예수님을 죽일 음모를 꾸미면서 " 누구든지 예수님이 계신 곳을 알면 반드시 알려야 한다는 명령을 내렸 " 습니다 ( 마태복음 2:1, 7-8, 13; 요한복음 11:53, 57, 현대인의 성경 ).   죽임을 당하는 위협 속에 계셨던 예수님은 우리를 살리셔서 영원한 생명을 주시고자 스스로 십자가에 목숨을 버리셨습니다 ( 요한복음 10:15, 28; 요한일서 3:16).
