찾거든 내게도 알려주시오 ..."라고 말했는데, 대제사장들과
바리새인들은 예수님을 죽일 음모를 꾸미면서 "누구든지 예수님이 계신 곳을 알면 반드시 알려야 한다는
명령을 내렸"습니다(마태복음 2:1, 7-8,
13; 요한복음 11:53, 57, 현대인의 성경). 죽임을 당하는 위협 속에 계셨던 예수님은 우리를 살리셔서
영원한 생명을 주시고자 스스로 십자가에 목숨을 버리셨습니다(요한복음 10:15, 28; 요한일서 3:16).
