It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. "영혼의 닻" 같은 "이 소망"은 "튼튼하고 견고하여 휘장 안에 들어"갑니다(히 6:19). 그 "휘장 안"으로 "앞서 가신 예수"님(20절)은 우리의 "영혼의 닻" 같으신 소망이 되십니다. 이 소망되신 예수님께서 "하나님의 약속을 기업으로 받는 자들"(17절)인 우리에게 "내가 진실로 속히 오리라"고 약속하셨습니다(계 22:20). "거짓말을 하실 수 없"으신(히6:18) 주님이시요 "그 뜻이 변하지 아니함을 충분히 나타내시"는 주님께서 "그 일을 맹세로 보증하셨"으므로(17절) 반드시 우리 주님은 속히 오실 것입니다(계22:20). 그러므로 우리는 "이 소망을 가지고" 우리의 "영혼의 닻"을(19절) 우리의 소망되신 주님과 주님의 약속의 말씀에 내려서 믿음으로 "아멘 주 예수여 오시옵소서"(계22:20)라고 신앙 고백하면서 선장되신 주님의 배를 우리의 "피난처"로 삼아 "큰 안위"를 받으면서(히6:18) 저 천성을 향하여 향해하십시다.
