사울은 스데반이 죽임 당함을 마땅히 여겼고( 8:1) 헤롯 왕은 사도 야고보를 칼로 죽였고 사도 베드로까지 옥에 가두었습니다(12:2, 4).   강해진 대적자들: 사울에서 헤롯 왕으로,  중요한 사람들(?): 스데반에서 야고보( 베드로)로, 스데반이 죽음으로 시작된 " 박해"가 더욱더 커진 같습니다(8:1).

우리의 신앙의 여정에도 점점 어려움과 박해가 있을 것입니다.  우리의 대적들은 점점 강한 사람들로 바뀔 수가 있습니다.  우리 주위에 소중하고 중요한 사람들이 대적자들로 인해 생명을 잃던지  박해를 받을 수가 있습니다.
