" 여호와의 사자가 칼을 빼어 손에 들고 길에 선 것을 " 본 " 나귀 " 를 발람은 " 내 손에 칼이 있었더면 곧 너를 죽였으리라 " 고 말했습니다 ( 민수기 22:23, 29). 나귀는 칼을 빼어 손에 들고 길에 서 있는 하나님의 사자를 보고 발람에게 채찍으로 세 번이나 맞으면서까지 자기 주인을 살리려고 했었지만 (23-27 절 ) 발람은 일생 동안 자기를 충성되이 섬기고 있었던 (30 절 ) 나귀를 " 내 손에 칼이 있었더면 곧 너를 죽였으리라 " 고 말했습니다 (29 절 ). 발람은 자기 나귀 ( 짐승 ) 보다 못한 사람이었습니다 . 예수님께서는 짐승보다 못한 우리를 위하여 십자가에 죽으시고자 나귀를 타시고 예루살렘에 입성하셨습니다 ( 마 21:7-10). 예수님께서 타신 나귀는 발람의 나귀처럼 예수님을 살리려고 하지 않았습니다 . 오히려 그 나귀는 하나님 아버지께 순종하시고 계셨던 하나님의 아들 예수님 , 마치 " 도살장으로 끌려 가는 어린 양 " 과 같으신 ( 이사야 53:7, 현대인의 성경 ) 유월절 어린양이신 예수님에게 순종했습니다 . 과 연 우리는 발람이 탄 나귀와 예수님이 타신 나귀처럼 주님을 충성되이 섬기고 있나요 ?
