이번주 더,오래 꼰대·틀딱·지공이라고? 너희도 늙어 이놈들아… 중앙일보 업데이트 2019.04.08 09:06 지면보기 지면 정보 강인춘 구독 [더,오래] 강인춘의 웃긴다! 79살이란다(7) [일러스트 강인춘] 어르신, 영감, 노인네, 할배 등 이 시대 소위 나이 먹은 사람을 향해 지칭하는 호칭들이다. 이 정도는 그래도 양반이다. 꼰대, 지공, 노틀, 틀딱. 등등의 야유성 호칭도 있다. 무슨 말인가 이해가 안 되는 사람을 위해서 그 뜻을 풀어본다. 꼰대-> 은어로, ‘늙은이’를 이르는 말. 지공-> 지하철 공짜로 타는 늙은이. 노틀-> 늙은 남자를 속되게 이르는 말. 틀딱-> 늙어서 틀니를 한 사람. 자세히 들여다보니 호칭도 시대에 따라 진화(?)하는 것 같다. 나도 이제 나이가 칠십을 넘고 보니 이런 호칭 중의 하나는 싫어도 부득이 받아야 하는가 보다. 씁쓸하다. 진화하는 시대의 삐딱한 호칭을 나 혼자만이 싫다고 해서 없어지는 건 아니다. 더구나 꼰대니, ‘틀딱’이니, ‘지공’이네 하는 막돼먹은 호칭은 상대방이 아무리 성인군자라 해도 은근히 열 받게 되는 것은 당연하다. 그렇다고 그들에게 일일이 불쾌감을 표시할 생각은 없다. 세월이 지나면 그들 자신에게도 열 받는 호칭은 반드시 돌아오게 되어있다. 그때 그들의 표정은 어떨까? 아무리 유행어라고 하지만 천박한 호칭은 사려서 하자. 그들에게도 생존해계시는 나이 많은 부모님은 있으니까."
