Satan’s Kairos

Satan’s Kairos           “When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time” ( Luke 4:13 ).       I would like to meditate on this verse and receive the lessons God gives through it.   (1)     When I meditated on this passage, I first became curious about how other Bible versions translate the phrase “he left him until an opportune time” (Lk. 4:13).   Here are some examples: “He left Jesus for a while, until a suitable time came” (The Living Bible, Korean version).     “He left Jesus, looking for another opportunity” ( Korean Common Translation ).   “He left Jesus until a certain time” ( New Translation ).   “He left Jesus until the right time came” ( New Korean Bible ).   “He left Jesus for a short while, waiting for a better opportunity” ( Easy Bible ).   “He withdrew from Him, waiting for another opportunity” ( Catholic Bible ). ...

Joint operation, united prayer, collective success (Acts 4:23-32)

Joint operation, united prayer, collective success         [Acts 4:23-32]       As I meditate on Acts 4:23-32, I've gained insight into the following:   First, Satan employs a "joint operation" in attacking us.   Look at Acts 4:27 - "Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed."   Just as Herod and Pontius Pilate conspired against Jesus, the enemies of Jesus, here the members of the Sanhedrin who opposed the apostles Peter and John in Acts 4, also conspired together.   Likewise, as disciples of Jesus, we experience joint attacks from Satan and his forces.   At times, we encounter difficult and challenging situations in life.   It may feel as if everything is falling apart, much like Job's experience, where he lost all his possessions, his children, and even his health. ...

Satan’s strategy (Nehemiah 4:1-3)

Satan’s strategy     [Nehemiah 4:1-3]     In the church, who do people ridicule?   They usually ridicule a person who believes in the Lord well and is faithful to Him.   So, to a person who is well-believing and faithful, they ridicule by saying, ‘Should you believe in Jesus like that?   Do you have to go to church on a Sunday like that?   To whom are you trying to impress with being so faithful?’   Therefore, in the last days, the members of the church will be hurt by other members of the church (Internet).   In Nehemiah 4:1-3, we see Nehemiah and the people of Judah being ridiculed.   Who ridiculed them?   These were Sanballat (vv. 1-2) and Tobiah the Ammonite (v. 3).   When Sanballat heard that Nehemiah and the people of Judah were building the city of Jerusalem, Sanballat became furious and very angry and mocked the Jews (v. 1).   Tobiah the Ammonite, along with Sanballat, mocked and despis...
