시작은 창대했지만 나중은 미약했던 솔로몬 왕? 우리 기독교인들에게 잘 알려진 성경 구절 중 하나는 바로 " 네 시작은 미약하였으나 네 나중은 심히 창대하리라 " 는 욥기 8 장 7 절 말씀이 아닌가 생각합니다 . 그런데 저는 그리도 지혜로왔다는 솔로몬 왕을 생각하면 그의 시작은 심히 창대했지만 그의 나중은 미약했다고 생각합니다 . 제가 그리 생각하는 이유는 그의 시작에는 하나님께서 나단 선지자를 통해 " 여디디야 " 란 이름 ( 뜻 : 주님께 사랑 받은 자 ) 도 받고 ( 삼하 12:25), 지혜 뿐만 아니라 부귀와 영광을 다 받았지만 ( 왕상 3:12-13) 그의 나중에 나이가 많을 때에는 애굽 왕 바로의 딸 외에 이방의 많은 여인들을 사랑하여 그 여인들이 하여금 자기의 마음을 돌려 다른 신들을 따랐습니다 ( 왕상 11:1-4). 그는 하나님의 언약과 하나님께서 명령하신 법도를 지키지 않고 (11 절 ) 하나님을 떠나 (9 절 ) 우상을 숭배하므로 하나님의 눈앞에서 악을 행했습니다 (5-6 절 ). 어떻게 시작엔 주님의 사랑을 받고 주님을 따르던 자가 나중엔 우상을 섬기는 이방 여인들을 사랑하여 그녀들의 우상들을 따를 수 있나요 ?
