"하나님의 진리로 꾸준히 자신의 양떼를 목양하는 목자는 해를 거듭할수록 건강하고 성숙한 신자들을 길러내고, 사람들은 믿음으로 기꺼이 하나님께로 나아와 하나님을 신뢰하는 가운데 큰 꿈을 꾼다.  그와 같은 양떼 사이에선, 화목이 넘치고, 서로를 돌아볼 줄 아는 공동체가 형성되며, 웃음이 끊이지 않고, 감정의 상처들이 어루만져지며, 평강이 무르익는다" (찰스 스윈돌).
