A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. 우리는 성령 하나님의 인도하심따라 성부 하나님과 성자 예수님과 교제를 가지므로 우리의 기쁨이 충만해야 합니다(요한일서 1:3-4).
"만일 우리가 하나님과 교제한다고 하면서 죄를 짓는 어두운 생활을 그대로 한다면 우리는 진리대로 살지 않는 거짓말장이에 불과합니다"(요한일서 1:6, 현대인의 성경).
주님 안에서 형제, 자매의 교제는 하나님이 빛
가운데 계시는 것 같이 우리도 빛 가운데 살면서 나누는 교제입니다(요한일서 1:7, 현대인의 성경).
만일 우리가 죄가 없다고 하면 우리는 자신을 속이는 것이 되며 진리가 우리 속에 있지 않으며, 만일 우리가 죄를 짓지 않았다고 하면 우리는 하나님을 거짓말장이로 만드는 것이며 그분의 말씀이
우리 속에 있지 않습니다(요한일서 1:8, 10, 현대인의 성경).
자신이 죄를 짓지 않았다고 생각하며 또한 죄가 없다고 생각하는 이유는 머리로는 하나님의 말씀과 진리를 알고 있는데 마음
속에는 그 말씀과 진리가 없기 때문입니다(요한일서
1:8, 10, 현대인의 성경).
만일 하나님의 말씀과 진리가 우리 속에 있으면 우리는 우리가 죄를 짓고 우리 안에 죄가 있다는 것을 인식하고 우리 죄를
하나님께 자백합니다.
그 이유는 우리는 하나님은 신실하시고 의로우시사 우리 죄를 용서하시고 우리를 모든 죄악에서 깨끗하게 하실
것임을 믿기 때문입니다(요한일서 1:9).
