A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. Let me clearly summarize five essential principles of true mission as presented in Scripture. 🌍 1. The Mission of God (Missio Dei) The subject and initiator of mission is not human beings but God. 억울하게 고난을 받더라도 ... 요나단은 자기 아버지인 사울에게 자기가 자기 생명처럼 사랑하는 다윗에 대해 칭찬하면서 다윗은 " 죄 없는 사람 " 이며 " 그가 아버지를 해칠 만한 일은 조금도 하지 않았 " 다고 말했습니다 ( 사무엘상 19:4-5, 현대인의 성경 ). 다윗은 요나단에게 " 내가 무엇을 했느냐 ? 내 죄가 무엇인데 너의 아버지 ( 사울 ) 는 그처럼 나를 죽이려고 하느냐 ?" 라고 말했습니다 (20:1, 현대인의 성경 ). 다윗은 사울 왕에게 죽임을 당할 만한 죄를 범한 것이 없었습니다 . 요나단도 그 사실을 알고 있었습니다 . 그럼에도 불구하고 사울 왕은 다윗을 죽이고 싶어했습니다 . 그 이유는 사울은 다윗을 질투했고 (18:9, 현대인의 성경 ) 또한 두려워했기 때문입니다 (15 절 ). 이유 없이 우리를 미워하고 괴롭히는 사람이 있을 수 있습니다 . 우리가 그 사람에게 잘못한 것이 아무것도 없는데도 말입니다 . 우리는 충분히 억울할 수 있습니다 . 베드로전서 2 장 19-20 절 현대인의 성경 말씀입니다 : " 억울하게 고난을 받더라도 하나님을 생각하고 슬픔을 참으면 이것은 칭찬할 만한 일이지만 죄가 있어서 벌을 받고 참으면 무슨 자랑거리가 되겠습니까 ? 그러나 선한 일을 하다가 고난을 받고 참으면 이것은 하나님 앞에서 칭찬을 받을 만한 일입니다 ."
