It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. 하나님 아버지께 감사하는 이유 (7) 우리가 하나님 아버지께 기도할 수 있다는 그 사실만으로도 하나님께 감사해야 합니다 . 우리가 우리를 사랑하시는 하나님 아버지께 예수님으로 이름으로 기도할 수 있다는 것을 하나님께 감사해야 합니다 . 하나님 아버지께서 우리의 기도에 귀를 기울이시고 계시다는 것을 우리는 하나님께 감사해야 합니다 . 시편 기자는 시편 116 편 1-2 절에서 이렇게 말했습니다 : “ 여호와께서 내 음성과 내 간구를 들으시므로 내가 그를 사랑하는도다 그의 귀를 내게 기울이셨으므로 내가 평생에 기도하리로다 .” 사도 바울은 성도들을 기억 ( 생각 ) 하며 하나님께 기도로 맡겼을 때 하나님께서 그 성도들의 마음과 삶 속에 역사하시고 계시므로 말미암아 바울은 하나님께 감사를 드렸 습니다 . 사도 바울은 성도들을 위하여 기도하면서 에베소 교회 성도들에게는 “ 모든 성도들을 위해 끊임없이 기도하십시오 ”( 엡 6:18) 라고 권면했다는 것은 그는 자기가 편지를 쓴 내용대로 실천에 옮기고 있었다는 것입니다 (KJV 성경 주석 ). 사무엘이 한 말씀이 생각납니다 : “ 나는 너희를 위하여 기도하기를 쉬는 죄를 여호와 앞에 결단코 범하지 아니하고 선하고 의로운 길을 너희에게 가르칠 것인즉 ” ( 삼상 12:23).
