A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. 대답보다 침묵이 필요할 때가 있는 것 같습니다 . 빌라도 총독은 예수님에게 “ 네가 유대인의 왕이냐 ?” 하고 물었고 예수님께서는 “ 그렇다 ” 하시고 대제사장들과 장로들이 고소하는 말에 일체 대답하지 않으셨습니다 . 그 때 빌라도가 예수님께 “ 저 사람들이 너에 대해서 증언하는 말이 들리지 않느냐 ?'” 하고 물어도 예수님이 전혀 대답하지 않으시자 그는 아주 이상하게 생각하였습니다 ( 마태복음 27:11-14, 현대인의 성경 ). 왜 유대인의 왕이신 예수님께서 유대인 대제사장들과 장로들이 고소하는 말이 일체 대답하지 않으신 것일까요 ? 예수님께서는 그들의 증언하는 말을 다 들으셨으면서도 전혀 대답하지 않으셨습니다 . 로마 총독 빌라도의 입장에서는 아주 이상하게 생각할 수밖에 없었을 것입니다 . 안티 기독교인들의 거짓 증언의 말들에 전혀 대답하지 않을 때 세상 사람들은 충분히 이상하게 생각할 수 있을 것입니다 . 대답보다 침묵이 필요할 때가 있는 것 같습니다 .
