A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. Let me clearly summarize five essential principles of true mission as presented in Scripture. 🌍 1. The Mission of God (Missio Dei) The subject and initiator of mission is not human beings but God. 긍휼, 전념, 자족
금년 2015년 한 해를 뒤돌아 볼 때에 나 같은 큰 죄인에게도 베풀어 주신 하나님의 "긍휼"에 감사할 뿐입니다(딤전1:13). 하나님께서는 저에게 "일체 오래 참으심을 보"여주셨습니다(16절). 이 하나님의 크신 긍휼과 나 같은 죄인에게도 "직분"을 맡기신(12절) 하나님의 풍성한 은혜를 생각할 때에(14절) 저는 더욱더 하나님의 말씀을 묵상하며 나누는 일에 "전념"하길 원합니다(4:13). 저는 말씀에 "부한 자"가 되어(6:17) 하나님의 말씀을 묵상한 것을 "나누어 주기를 좋아하"고 싶습니다(18절). 그러한 가운데서 저는 "자족하는 마음"이 있길 기원합니다(6절).
제가 세상에 아무 것도 가지고 오지 않았으므로 아무것도 가지고 가지 못할 것이기에 그저 "먹을 것"과 "입을 것"이 있으면 만족하길 원합니다(7-8절).
새해 2016년도는 하나님의 긍휼에 힘입어 맡은 직분에 충실하며, 하나님의 풍성한 은혜로 말미암아 하나님의 말씀 묵상에 전념하여 그 말씀을 나누는 것을 더욱더 좋아하며 즐기면서, 주님 한분만으로 자족하며 살기를 기원합니다.
