A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. Let me clearly summarize five essential principles of true mission as presented in Scripture. 🌍 1. The Mission of God (Missio Dei) The subject and initiator of mission is not human beings but God. In order to save fallen humanity, God first comes to us, sends His Son, and sends the Holy Spirit. He is the “missionary God” who sends. 우리가 구하거나 생각하는 것보다 더욱 넘치게 주시는 하나님 아르타크셀크세스 황제 ( 아닥사스다 왕 ) 은 에스라에게 “ 그 밖에 네 하나님의 성전에 필요한 것이 있으면 국고에서 지원해 주겠다 ” 고 약속했습니다 . 뿐만 아니라 그는 유프라테스강 서쪽 지방의 모든 국고 관리자들에게 “ 에스라가 요구하는 것은 무엇이든지 즉시 공급해 주어라 ” 고 명령했습니다 ( 에스라 7:20-21, 현대인의 성경 ). 저는 이 말씀을 묵상할 때 에베소서 3 장 20 절 말씀이 생각났습니다 : “ 우리 가운데 역사하시는 능력으로 우리가 구하거나 생각하는 것보다 더욱 넘치게 주시는 하나님께 ”( 현대인의 성경 ). 우리 하나님은 우리가 구하거나 생각하는 것보다 더욱 넘치게 주시는 하나님이십니다 ! 심지어 하나님은 우리 주위에 예수님을 믿지 않는 자를 통해서도 우리가 주님의 일을 함에 있어서 필요한 것을 넘치도록 지원해 주십니다 .
