우상 숭배자들(idol worshipers)은 하나님의 은혜를 버리고 호흡처럼 속이 없어지고 텅빈 것처럼 헛된 것을 섬기며 제사를 드리지만 하나님을 예배하는 자들(God worshipers)은 하나님께서 그의 신실한 언약적 사랑(히비리어: '헤세드') 가운데서 베풀어주시는 은혜를 마음에 잘 간직하므로 하나님께 나아가 감사하므로 예배를 드립니다(요나 2:8-9).
