A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. Let me clearly summarize five essential principles of true mission as presented in Scripture. 🌍 1. The Mission of God (Missio Dei) The subject and initiator of mission is not human beings but God. 큰 죄악에서 큰 일을 행하시는 하나님? 사무엘 시대 때 이스라엘 백성들이 모든 나라와 같이 자기들에게 왕을 세워 자기들을 다스리게 해 달라고 한 것은 ( 삼상 8:5) 하나님을 버려 자기들의 왕이 되지 못하게 한 것이요 (7 절 ), 하나님의 목전에서 범한 큰 죄악이었습니다 (12:17). 그러면 왜 이스라엘 백성들은 왕을 구한 것일까요 ? 그 이유는 물론 그 당시 사사였던 사무엘의 두 아들이 ( 요엘과 아비야 ) 가 아버지 사무엘의 행위를 따르지 않고 [( 사무엘은 어려서부터 늙어 머리가 희어졌을 때까지 이스라엘 백성 앞에 출입을 하면서 아무 뇌물도 받지 않았는데 (12:2-3)] 이익을 따라 뇌물을 받고 판결을 굽게 했기 때문이기도 하겠지만 (8:1-3) 또한 이스라엘 백성들이 암몬 자손의 왕 나하스가 그들을 치러 오는 것을 보고 (12:12) 자기들도 왕이 있어서 자기들을 다스리며 자기들 앞에 나가서 자기들의 싸움을 싸우길 원했기 때문입니다 (8:20). 그런데 이해가 안되는 점은 이스라엘 백성들이 왕을 구한 것은 하나님의 목전에서 범한 큰 죄악인데도 불구하고 (12:17) 하나님께서는 그들이 구한 왕을 그들 가운데 세워주셨다는 것입니다 (8:22; 12:13). 왜 하나님께서는 그들의 큰 죄악의 기도를 들어주시사 그 들에게 " 그 큰 일 " 을 행하신 것일까요 ?(24 절 ) 어쩌면 하나님께서는 이스라엘 백성들이 하여금 왕이신 하나님을 섬기는 것이 인간 왕을 섬기는 것보다 얼마나 좋은지를 깨닫게 하...
