God’s love, which is stronger than death, is causing me to continue walking the path of the mission the Lord has given me (John 6:1–15).

God’s love, which is stronger than death, is causing me to continue walking the path of the mission the Lord has given me (John 6:1–15).             “At that very time some Pharisees came and said to Him, ‘Leave this place and go somewhere else. Herod wants to kill You.’   He replied, ‘Go tell that fox, “I will keep driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach My goal.”   In any case, I must press on today and tomorrow and the next day—for surely no prophet can die outside Jerusalem!   Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.   Look, your house is left to you desolate.   I tell you, you will not see Me again until you say, “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord” (Luke 13:31–35).     ...

The Beauty of a Christian

The Beauty of a Christian

When Jesus entered Jerusalem,

a large crowd gathered to celebrate the Passover.

They went out to meet Him, holding palm branches and shouting,

"Hosanna!  Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord,

even the King of Israel!" (Jn. 12:13).

Here, the palm branches symbolize righteousness, beauty, and victory.

The large crowd regarded Jesus as the victorious King of Israel,

expecting Him to bring about political liberation from the Roman government,

economic prosperity, and social justice by practicing righteousness.

This was the beauty they saw in Jesus.

They believed that He would free them from Roman rule (political liberation),

bring economic prosperity, and establish social justice.

This was the beauty they envisioned in Jesus.

However, what was the beauty that God the Father saw

in "My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased," Jesus Christ?

It was His obedience to the will of the Father unto death (Phil. 2:8).

This is the beauty of Jesus Christ as seen by God the Father.

We should emulate this beauty of Jesus.

As Christians, we should follow the example of Jesus

and obediently submit to the will of the Lord even unto death.

This is the beauty of us as Christians.
