When feeling discouraged
and anxious
The reason I may feel discouraged and anxious is
because, despite my earnest longing and thirst
for God,
it seems as if He has forgotten me and abandoned
me.
In those moments, I need to speak to my soul and
pray to God:
‘James, why are you downcast, and why is your
soul disturbed within you?
Put your hope in God!’
By doing so, God will intervene and help me.
Therefore, I will continue to praise my God
(Ps. 42, 43).
