죽은 사람들의 사랑과 미움과 질투는 그들의 죽음과 함께 사라지고 그들은 세상에서 일어나는 어떤 일에도 참여하지 못합니다.  그러므로 살아 있는 우리는 가서 기쁨으로 음식을 먹고 즐거운 마음으로 마셔야 합니다.  이유는 하나님께서 우리가 하는 일들을 벌써 기쁘게 받으셨기 때문입니다(참고: 전도서 9:6-7, 현대인의 성경).
