It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. Let me clearly summarize five essential principles of true mission as presented in Scripture. 🌍 1. The Mission of God (Missio Dei) The subject and initiator of mission is not human beings but God. 요나의 하나님 (5) [ 요나 2 장 1-10 절 말씀 묵상 ] 여러분은 고난 가운데서도 하나님께 감사 기도를 드릴 수 있으십니까 ? 요나의 기도는 어떠했을까 생각해 봅니다 . 원수인 니느웨 백성들에게 하나님께서 가서 그 성읍을 쳐서 외치라 (1:2) 고 명하셨는데 불순종하여 도망가다가 결국 이런 저런 고생을 한 후 오늘 본문 요나 2 장에 와서는 물고기 뱃속에 있는 처지가 되었습니다 . 그러한 상황에서 요나는 하나님께 감사의 기도를 드렸겠습니까 아니면 니느웨 백성들을 생각하면서 원망과 불평 속에서 한 숨 쉬면서 한 번쯤 발버둥 쳐보려고 하나님께 살려달라고 기도했겠습니까 ? 놀라운 사실은 요나는 물고기 뱃속에서도 하나님께 감사 기도를 드렸다는 것입니다 . 그것을 어떻게 알 수가 있는가 하면 본문 1 절에 “ 요나가 물고기 뱃속에서 그 하나님 여호와께 기도하여 ” 란 문장을 보면 거기 나오는 기도 ’ 란 단어가 히브리 원어인 “ 이트팔렐 ” 인데 그 단어는 감사 기도의 의미로 사용된 것임을 삼상 2 장 1 절과 삼하 7 장 27 절을 통해서 우리는 알 수가 있습니다 . 그래서 저는 오늘 본문 요나 2 장 1-10 절 말씀 중심으로 제목을 “ 요나의 하나님 (5)” 로 잡고 한 두 가지를 생각해 보고자 합니다 : (1) 첫째로 생각하려는 것은 어떻게 요나가 하나님께 감사 기도를 드릴 수 있었는가 입니다 .
