A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. Let me clearly summarize five essential principles of true mission as presented in Scripture. 🌍 1. The Mission of God (Missio Dei) The subject and initiator of mission is not human beings but God. In order to save fallen humanity, God first comes to us, sends His Son, and sends the Holy Spirit. He is the “missionary God” who sends. 우리가 잠자리에서나마 우리의 고통을 잊어 보려고 해도 악몽과 환상으로 놀라고 두려울 때 우리는 “이런 몸으로 삶을 계속하느니보다 차라리 숨이 막혀 죽기를 원할 수도 있습니다.  그리고 우리는 하나님께 “이제 사는 것도 싫어졌습니다.  내가 더 이상 살고 싶지 않으니 나를 내버려 두십시오.  내 삶은 무의미합니다”라고 간구할 수도 있습니다(참고: 욥기 7:13-16, 현대인의 성경).
