Devotional Reflection Based on the Incident of Peter Cutting Off Malchus's Ear: “Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.” ( Mark 14:47, Today's Korean Version ) 1. Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.” ( John 18:10 ) 2. 찬송 중에 계시는 주님을 의뢰하고 의뢰해야 합니다.  독생자 예수님을 십자가에 버리실지언정  우리를 버리지 않으시는 하나님이신데  우리는 " 하나님이여 어찌 나를 버리셨나이까 " 라고 부르짖을 정도로  하나님이 우리를 버리셨다는 생각과 느낌이 드는 환난 가운데 있을 때 ,  환난은 가까운데 하나님은 너무나 멀리 계시다는 생각과 느낌이 들고 ,  하나님은 우리를 돕지 아니하시는 것 같을지라도 ,  우리는 찬송 중에 계시는 주님을 의뢰하고 의뢰하므로 주 님께 건짐과 구원을 받아야 합니다 ( 시편 22:1, 3, 4, 5, 11).
