God’s love, which is stronger than death, is causing me to continue walking the path of the mission the Lord has given me (John 6:1–15). “At that very time some Pharisees came and said to Him, ‘Leave this place and go somewhere else. Herod wants to kill You.’ He replied, ‘Go tell that fox, “I will keep driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach My goal.” In any case, I must press on today and tomorrow and the next day—for surely no prophet can die outside Jerusalem! Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. 하나님 아버지는 예수님을 싫어하실 정도로 우리를 이처럼 사랑하고 계시는 것일까요? “반역의 죄를” 진 이스라엘 백성들은 하나님께서 약속하신 가나안 땅을 “싫어하던 땅”으로 여겼습니다 ( 민수기 14:31, 33). 그 결과 하나님께서는 이스라엘 백성들로 하여금 광야에서 40 년 동안 그들의 죄의 댓가를 받으므로 결국에 가서는 하나님께서 자기들을 “싫어하면” 어떻게 되는지를 알게 되었습니다 ( 민수기 14:34). 우리의 모든 죄를 다 짊어지시고 우리의 죄를 대속하시고자 십자가에 화목 제물로 죽으시는 예수님을 하나님 아버지는 싫어하실 정도로 우리를 이처럼 사랑하고 계시는 것일까요 ?
