믿음이 없이는 성경 말씀을 깨달을 수가 없습니다. 막달라 마리아는 예수님의 빈무덤을 막았던 돌이 옮겨져 있는 것만 보았고 , 예수님이 사랑하시던 제자는 세마포 놓인 것만 보았으나 , 사도 베드로는 직접 무덤에 들어가 놓인 세마포와 예수님의 머리에 쌌던 수건을 보았습니다 . 그 때에야 그 빈무덤에 먼저 도착했던 그 다른 제자도 빈무덤에 들어가 보고 믿었습니다 . 그러나 그들은 아직도 예수님이 죽었다가 다시 살아나야 한다는 성경 말씀을 깨닫지 못했습니다 ( 요한복음 20:1-9, 현대인의 성경 ). 예수님의 빈무덤은 직접 눈으로 보고 믿긴했지만 , 마음으로는 예수님의 부활에 관한 성경 말씀을 깨닫지도 못했습니다 . 육신의 눈으로 모든 증거와 기적 등을 본다 할지라도 믿음이 없이는 성경 말씀을 깨달을 수가 없습니다 .
