Devotional Reflection Based on the Incident of Peter Cutting Off Malchus's Ear: “Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.” ( Mark 14:47, Today's Korean Version ) 1. Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.” ( John 18:10 ) 2. 낙심하며 불안해 할 때 우리가 낙심하며 불안해 할 때에  우리는 하나님께 소망을 두고  우리의 영혼이 주님을 찾기에 " 갈급 " 하며  우리의 영혼이 살아 계시는 하나님을 " 갈망 " 해야 합니다 .   그리할 때 주님께서 우리를 도우심으로 말미암아  우리가 여전히 기쁨과 감사의 소리를 내며 찬송할 것입니다 ( 시편 42:1-5).
