Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. 교회의 몇 사람을 해하려고 요한의 형제 야고보를 칼로 죽였던 헤롯왕은 영광을 하나님께 돌리지 않으므로 즉시 주님의 천사가 그를 치므로 벌레에게 먹혀 죽고 말았습니다(사도행전 12:1-2, 23).  하나님께 영광을 돌리지 않고 교회를 해하려 하는 사람은 하나님께서 치십니다.
