What is your new birth based on?

"If being born again is based on fundamentally on what we decide or what we do, then our faith and assurance always rest on the shaky foundation of our own spiritual experience.  But if the new birth is supernatural work of the Sovereign God, then our whole Christian life and experience flows from the life of God's Spirit."
