Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. 왜 우리는 서로 사랑하지 못하고 있는 것일까요? 우리가 주님의 계명대로 서로 사랑해야 한다는 것을 알면서도 왜 우리는 그 계명에 순종하지 못하는 것일까요 ?   그 원인은  우리에게 큰 사랑을 베푸신 성부 하나님과  우리의 죄를 위하여 화목제물로서  십자가에서 스스로 목숨을 버리신  태초부터 계신 영원한 생명의 말씀이신  성자 예수 그리스도와 친밀한 사귐 ( 교제 ) 를 누리고 있지 못하고 있기 때문입니다 ( 요일 1:1-3; 2:2; 3:1, 16).
