“ 쉬지 않고 여러분을 위해 기도하고 있습니다 .” (12) 마지막 셋째 이유는 , 하나님 아버지께서 우리로 하여금 빛 가운데서 성도의 기업의 부분을 얻기에 합당하게 하셨기 때문입니다 ( 골 1:12). 여기서 ‘합당하게’라는 단어를 현대인이 성경은 ‘자격’이라고 번역을 했는데 영어로도 “ qualified ” 곧 ‘자격’이라고 말하고 있습니다 . 이 단어의 원어인 헬라어 의미는 “ to make sufficient ” ( 충분하게 하다 ), “ to empower ” ( 권능을 부여하다 ), 혹은 “ to authorize ” ( 권한을 부여하다 ) 라는 의미입니다 ( 맥아더 ). 즉 , 하나님 아버지께서는 골로새 교회의 신실한 성도들에게 충분하게 권한을 부여했다는 말입니다 . 하나님께서는 그들에게 빛 가운데서 성도의 기업의 부분을 얻기에 충분한 권한을 부여하신 것입니다 . 현대인의 성경으로 말한다면 , 하나님께서는 골로새 교회의 신실한 성도들에게 빛의 나라에서 성도들이 얻을 축복에 참여할 수 있는 권한을 충분하게 부여하신 것입니다 . 여기서 “성도의 기업” 또는 “성도들이 얻을 축복”이란 우리 모든 성도들이 하나님의 자녀요 또한 그리스도와 함께한 하나님의 상속자로서 영원한 하나님의 나라에 들어가 받을 기업이요 얻을 축복입니다 ( 롬 8:17).
