Our God is faithful, and He will surely fulfill what He has promised us in His time and in His way! “As Elizabeth was barren and they had no child, and both were well advanced in years” (Luke 1:7). While meditating on this verse, I would like to share the lessons given to me: (1) When I read this passage, I am reminded of Sarai, Abraham’s wife, in Genesis: “Now Sarai was barren; she had no child” (Genesis 11:30). Sarai, who could not conceive and had no child, “by faith … received power to conceive, because she considered Him faithful who had promised” (Hebrews 11:11). (a) While meditating on the statement that she considered the One who promised to be faithful, I am reminded of one of my favorite verses, 2 Timothy 2:13: “If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself” [Modern Translation: “We may be unfaithful, but the Lord is always faithful and cannot break His promise”]. ...
예수님께서는 어떠한 베드로를 보셨을까요? 잡혀가시던 예수님을 멀찍이 따라갔었던 사도 베드로 ( 눅 22:54), 예수님를 세 번이나 부인한 후 (55-60 절 ) 닭이 곧 울었고 (60 절 ) 주님께서는 돌이켜 베드로를 보셨습니다 (61 절 ). 왜 예수님은 돌이켜 베드로를 보셨을까요 ? 예수님께서는 어떠한 베드로를 보셨을까요 ? 자기에게 " 내가 주와 함께 죽을지언정 주를 부인하지 않겠니이다 "( 마 26:35) 라고 말했던 베드로를 보셨을까요 ? 자기를 세 번이나 부인한 베드로를 보셨을까요 ? 아니면 장차 " 사람을 낚는 어부 " 를 보셨을까요 ?( 마 4:19)
