God’s love, which is stronger than death, is causing me to continue walking the path of the mission the Lord has given me (John 6:1–15). “At that very time some Pharisees came and said to Him, ‘Leave this place and go somewhere else. Herod wants to kill You.’ He replied, ‘Go tell that fox, “I will keep driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach My goal.” In any case, I must press on today and tomorrow and the next day—for surely no prophet can die outside Jerusalem! Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. 우리는 빛의 자녀답게 살고자 힘써야 합니다. 예수님을 믿기 전에 우리는 어두움 속에 살았었습니다 . 우리는 음란과 온갖 더러운 것과 욕심과 추잡한 짓이나 어리석은 말이나 유치한 농담을 하면서 살았었습니다 . 우리는 음란한 사람이요 더러운 사람이요 욕심 많은 사람 , 곧 우상 숭배자였습니다 . 우리는 불순종하는 사람들로서 하나님의 진노가 우리에게 임할 수 밖에 없었습니다 . 그러나 우리가 예수님을 믿고 나서부터는 빛 가운데 살면서 빛의 자녀답게 살고자 힘쓰고 있습니다 . 즉 , 우리는 성도에게 마땅치 아니한 것을 버리고 또 버리면서 하나님께 감사하며 생활하고자 애쓰고 있습니다 ( 참고 : 에베소서 5:3-8, 현대인의 성경 ).
