부부 싸움은 ... 부부 싸움은 극히 사소한 일로 인하여 시작하여 점점 더 커지게 될 때가 대부분입니다 . ' 다투는 시작은 둑에서 물이 새는 것 같습니다 '( 잠언 17:14). 둑에서 물이 새기 시작할 때 속히 물이 새는 둑을 막아야 합니다 . 부부 싸움도 싸움이 일어나기 전에 시비를 그쳐야 합니다 ( 잠언 17:14). 왜 시비를 그치지 않습니까 ? 우리 안에 있는 " 싸우는 정욕 " 때문입니다 ( 야고보서 4:1). 이 싸우는 정욕에는 우리 각자의 " 욕심 " 을 내는 것이 있습니다 ( 야고보서 4:2). 그 욕심이 만족되지 않으면 우리는 불만과 불평 속에 하나님의 말씀에 불순종하여 가정의 화평을 깨는 자들이 될 수 밖에 없습니다 . 이렇게 싸우는 정욕에 이끌려 살아가는 부부는 " 다툼을 좋아하는 자 " 들이요 " 죄과를 좋아하는 자 " 들 입니다 ( 잠언 17:19). 우리는 회개해야 합니다 .
