The result of justification (9): God demonstrating his own love for us “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8) When Romans 5:8 says “While we were still sinners” refers to the past, before we believed in Jesus and before we were justified by faith (v. 1).
