하나님께서 사랑하시사 창세 전에 선택한 사람들을 부르시사 구원에 이르게 하십니다. 하나님께서 구원에 이르게 하시고자 부르신 사람들은 하나님께서 미리 정하셨습니다(롬8:30)[(예정) (엡1:4-5; 롬8:29)]. 하나님께서 미리 예정하신 사람들을 구원에 이르게 하시고자 부르신 사람들을 먼저 성령님의 거룩하게 하심, 즉 중생하게 하십니다. 이러한 성령님의 중생의 필연적 결과로 뒤 따르는 것은 회심이요 이 회심에는 회개적 요소와 신앙적 요소가 있습니다. 하나님께서 우리를 구원하신 것은 오직 예수 그리스도 안에서 우리에게 주신 하나님의 전적인 은혜입니다(엡 2:8-9)(인터넷 참고).
