Devotional Reflection Based on the Incident of Peter Cutting Off Malchus's Ear: “Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.” ( Mark 14:47, Today's Korean Version ) 1. Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.” ( John 18:10 ) 2. "밤낮으로 간절히 하나님을 받들어 섬김으로 얻기를 바라는" 것은 무엇인가요?( 26:7)  "많은 일을 행하여야 스스로 생각"하는 이유가 무엇인가요? (9절)  우리 인간의 노력과 행함으로 구원을 얻을 있다고 믿기 때문인가요?  오직 예수님께서 십자가에서 행하신 일과 그리 십자가에 죽으시기까지 하나님을 받들어 섬기신 예수님을 믿음으로만 구원을 받는 것이 아닌가요?  오직 하나님의 은혜로 예수님을 믿어 구원을 받았기에 열심히 주님을 섬기며 주님의 일을 하는 것입니다.
